1. Artist Biography
Melanie La May, 1992, Nevada, U.S.
Lives and works in Nevada and California.
Melanie La May is a painter and illustrator, and one of Southwest Art Magazine's 21 artists under 31. She creates oil, watercolor, and digital paintings and sculptures, developing an interest in portraiture, spirituality, and nature. She is represented by Salt Fine Art in Laguna Beach, California. Her artwork is on public display as part of Clark County, Nevada’s Zap! project, and in many private collections. In 2021, she earned a BFA summa cum laude from Laguna College of Art and Design in Drawing and Painting with Illustration emphasis. She has participated in group exhibitions from New York City to California, and was the secretary of the board for the Las Vegas Artist's Guild in 2022.

2021 Public Art Commission, Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve commissioned an original 30"x30" Oil Painting to be hung in the Bird Preserve's educational center
