Lives and works in Nevada and California. 

Melanie La May is a visual artist working with painting, drawing, and sculpture. She has been creating digital and traditional artwork for over 10 years, focusing on portraiture, nature and the climate. She has created work for Clark County, Nevada’s public works Zap! Project, and many private commissions. She earned BFA from Laguna College of Art and Design in 2021 in Drawing and Painting with Illustration emphasis, summa cum laude. Melanie placed second in the Laguna Plein Air Painter Association’s Next Gen competition in 2018, and was awarded a Plotkin Scholarship in 2019.
